Exploring the power of your medium and making a real-world impact?
Take the challenge and engage people in important social and ecological efforts.
First, register by submitting your concept for a compelling animation film, game, or interactive experience and be eligible for free access to game development software and other goodies which will assist you in taking your idea to the next level. Second, bring your project to life and submit a prototype or vertical slice of your entry until May 15, 2014. A renowned jury will select the winning projects.
At the Games for Change Europe Festival in Paris in Jue 2014, the winners of the challenge will be awarded with prizes, including exposure at major events, matchmaking, and much more.

To register, please complete the online form and provide us with a few words about your idea. Once your project-idea has been revisioned by us, you will be invited to to the Games for Change Challenge backstage area where you will be able to update your project status anytime.
When to submit?
May 15, 2014: End of registration and last day to upload the review prototype
June 16/17, 2014: Presentation and announcement of the Grand Prize winners at Games for Change Europe Festival in Paris
Who can participate?
The call for submissions is open to students of all levels in accredited institutions of higher education worldwide. Participants who graduated in 2013 or will be finishing their degree within the timeframe of the 2013 completion are also welcome to submit.
If you are planning on submitting as a team, please be aware that at least one of the key members involved in the development and production of your piece must be enrolled as a student.

Now it´s official – the winners of the Games for Change Challenge 2013 will be invited to the G4C 2014 Festival Paris including tickets and travel costs.
Details: At least one representative of the winning team will be flown to Games for Change Europe Festival 2014 in Paris, France and provided with hotel and meals during the stay. Students must be 18 years of age or older and have valid travel documents. Student finalists or winners who are not able to travel will not be compensated in lieu of travel expenses.*
*All other expenses not specified above including, but not limited to, all other meals, beverages, gratuities, incidentals, taxes, other ground transportation, and baggage handling fees for bags in excess of one bag per Finalist are the sole responsibility of the each Finalist. Finalists shall reasonably cooperate with Sponsor to arrange for the prompt booking of their travel arrangements. All airline or other travel tickets once booked cannot be changed unless Sponsor in its sole discretion consents. Any additional fees or penalties incurred as a consequence of any changes made to any travel arrangements after they are booked that are made at the request of a Finalist are the sole responsibility of such Finalist. All Finalists are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary travel documents, including photo identification, visas and/or passports. Sponsor does not provide travel or other insurance. In event of award ceremony cancelation due to natural disasters, strikes, government actions or any other foreseeable or unforeseeable circumstances, students will not be reimbursed for unused travel.

Games for Change Europe does not own any rights to the artwork or components of the artwork submitted by contestant. All rights remain with their original creator and owner.
By registering and submitting an entry, contestant warrants that contestant (or group of contestants) is the sole creator and owner of the artwork, including all visual and auditory components, or has permission to use copyrighted components. Contestant further warrants that the artwork does not contain information considered by any other third party to be confidential.
Contestant gives consent to the public display of their submitted work and agree to mutually giving credit for public relation purposes.
